Maya’s stumbling, back pressed against the door as she attempts to fish the room key out of her purse. My lips are on her jaw, skating down her neck, refusing to allow an inch of space between us. Her heavy breath and soft whimpers of need tell me she doesn’t mind.

Finally, I hear the click of the lock, and the door falls open behind her, both of us tumbling into her room.

From the moment the words “Take me to bed” fell from her soft, full lips, I was a goner. We raced from the Bellagio to our hotel, stealing touches and blazing through each other with searing glances. The moment I had her in the elevator alone, a decade of pining and a weekend’s worth of pent up tension ripped through me. And now? I won’t let her leave my sight or my arms until she forces me away.

Even if she breaks my heart with that annulment tomorrow, I’ll gladly accept whatever she’s willing to give me tonight—any chance to call her mine, no matter how fleeting the moment may be.

Both hands cupping her face, my lips on hers, my tongue in her mouth as I walk us across the expanse of her suite until she’s pressed against the paneled windows in the bedroom that look out to the hotel’s other tower across from us and the city beyond it. She feels heavenly beneath my hands, like a dream come true.

I’d spend my entire life begging for mere scraps of her attention, but having her like this? Feeling the soft sound of need float from her throat and into mine, her nails digging into my shirt to untuck it from my jeans so she can feel my skin underneath, just as fucking desperate for me? Not even my wildest imagination could conjure this. It feels as if I’ve hit the jackpot a million times over.

She finally works my shirt free, and her soft hands glide up my back, setting my flesh aflame as they move. She’s clawing at me, frantic to get it off, and I understand the madness, because I’ve been waiting to see her pretty tits for fucking years. The last time we were together was rushed, and if this night could be our last, I won’t take it for granted.

“I’m taking my fucking time with you, Maya, baby,” I growl, pulling back from her.

Her hooded, brown and gold-flecked eyes appear near-black with lust as they flutter up at me, her cheeks flushed and beautiful chest heaving rapidly. Lips swollen from my kisses, body flaming from my touch, she’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever fucking seen.

With an immense amount of strength, I walk backward, separating us until the backs of my knees hit the bed. “I didn’t get to see all of you last time, so if you want me now, I’m going to need you to show me.”

First, she lifts her chin and slowly raises a brow, as if ready to challenge my demand, but something else flashes across her pretty eyes, something like unease or insecurity.
